Unit of study - Each activity book is written around a unit of study such as volcanoes, earthquakes, etc.
Mini-lesson for PreK-2nd grade - Each activity contains a mini-lesson at the beginning of the activity for younger students.
Hands-on activities included in the books do not require expensive materials and are easy to prepare for a classroom of students.

Units of study The units are designed to be taught three days a week and will take one month to complete. All material has been classroom tested by an experienced teacher who taught science for over 30 years.
Teacher's manual contains a copy of the student textbook with answers on each test page. Correlation to the National Science Standards are included in the back of each teacher's manual.
Teacher's student textbooks contain 12 lessons, quizzes and hands-on activities without the answer key.

CDs are digitalized student textbooks on PDF files. The CDs can be used as student textbooks for students who have been absent and need to make up their work. Site licenses are available for each of the units. Please call toll free 888-785-5439 for further information.
DVDs are video lessons for students who have been absent and need to view the lessons before reading the information on the CD or printed textbook. They can also be used by the teacher as a home reference without bringing home the printed teacher's manual and other materials.

Units of study are designed to be taught in six weeks. Three units can be taught in a semester. The units of study can be used as a regular textbook or a supplement. The units are similar to material used by the author when teaching Earth Science to 400 middle school eighth grade students.
